We founded Argyle Social with a single goal: to help marketers drive business outcomes through social media.

Social media, as a marketing channel, is still in its early-adopter phase. And, as in the early days of any marketing channel, marketers are simply focused on being “in the conversation”. Remember when, in the late 90′s, every business needed a website but didn't have a clue why? They justified this marketing spend based on “eyeballs” rather than any measure of real business value.

We all know what happened to that type of thinking — the bottom fell out in 2000. Marketers learned that if they wanted to justify the expense of creating and maintaining a website, they had better put some financial metrics behind it. The same story has repeated itself in email marketing, display advertising, and…well, you get the picture.

We're dedicated to short-circuiting the process this time aroud. We provide beautiful, easy-to-use, data-driven marketing software, backed up with enterprise-class service and security, to help you harness the social channel and bend it to your will.


The Company

Argyle Social is a marketing software company based in Durham, NC, USA. It was founded on December 15, 2009 and received a grant from NC IDEA in January, 2010. After building a prototype and signing several early-adopter customers, Argyle closed a $325k seed financing in October 2010 and launched its V1 product in December of 2010.

Since then, Argyle has grown like a weed, adding customers, employees, and features at an ever-increasing clip. After thoroughly impressing its investors, it raised a $1.2M Series A financing in September 2011 to continue to fuel its trajectory.
