Non-lame social media marketing guru Jay Baer published a list of the “39 Social Media Tools (He) Will Use Today.”

Yep – 39 tools. 

Gives a bit of creedence to our previous post about building social media marketing reports.  (Log in here, log in there, log in everywhere.  Grab the data.  Massage it in Excel.  Write report.  PDF it.  Repeat.)

What’s most interesting are the points of overlap between the tools.  For example – bit.ly, Objective Marketer, and Swix are all different flavors of a very similar idea. Aggregated data from URL redirects (and other 3rd party platforms) repurposed in very helpful ways.

Will be interesting to see how the technologies listed in the post converge/diverge over the rest of the year.
