Adam and I had two conversations this week with guys that work at leading social media marketing agencies. Both described the exact same reporting process:
- Set aside an entire afternoon.
- Log in to Google Analytics, Twitter, bit.ly, Facebook, YouTube, blog, etc.
- Manually aggregate numbers, comment counts, visits, referrals, etc.
- Dump it in an Excel file and build some pretty graphs.
- Put the graphs in a Word file and explain what it all means.
- PDF the document and deliver to the client.
