Look familiar? Yea, that’s what I thought. Then you might be the one we’re looking for; someone with some Devops chops. You relish the challenging, interesting, and varied job – where you might be debugging a slow page, building out the next great feature, or deploying a system update from one minute to the next.
This is devops in the startup sense of the word, we’re looking for someone who’s interested in Ops and Development — with a bit more of an Ops focus.
At Argyle we use an Agile development methodology that has evolved over time (and continues to grow with us) to work well with our small, limber team. We mostly code in PHP, with our web application utilizing Kohana as a framework. We also make use of a host services and tools, such as: SQS, SimpleDB, S3, CloudWatch, Dynamo, Redis, Mysql, github, chef, mantis, knife, and more. We’re open to solutions that solves the problem as elegantly and robustly as possible.
Wow, that’s a lot of services, and on top of that we manage many servers and a boatload of data from social media and website visits. That’s why We’re looking for an operations focused person – to help us to continue to improve the way we configure, deploy, and maintain our systems.
One last requirement, which we regret to add, is that you must have current authorization to work in the USA.
To apply, please email your resume and a link to your online persona (blog, Twitter, etc.) to email@example.com.
