How about being amazed at how awesome the features and products you build look when you’re done? Have you always wanted to play with new big data technologies like Hadoop and NoSQL DBs?

This isn’t just HR BS, we work pretty damn hard to ensure that the dev team is doing interesting stuff and getting to push the envelope with new and interesting technologies. We know that when you are challenged with something fun, you write better code – so that’s what we do.

We use an Agile development that has evolved over time (and continues to grow with us) to work well with our small, limber team. It has allowed us to build an impressive amount of robust product with very few resources.

On the front end we have a very slick, intuitive, and clean UI (check us out at ar.gy). You’ll be working with our designer on anything that requires front end work – you’ll be in awe of what he can do. On the backend we are building up a pretty huge dataset that we get to rip into. You’ll be working on a range of projects such as:

• Flexible reporting frameworks and interfaces
• Building out our API
• Lots of JSON based services
• Crunching through large data sets
• New integrations with WordPress, Youtube, & G+, etc
• Automation tools for AWS

Desired Skills & Experience

The kind of person that fits in here:

• Interested in new technologies
• Always looking to do something a better way
• Likes moving fast with projects
• Excited about taking on projects, even if it’s something you’ve never done before

The coding stuff we’re looking for:

• Solid PHP understanding
• MySQL Query experience
• Some Linux/MySQL Admin experience
• Have worked with open source tools in the past

We’d love to see:

• Integration experience with Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, WordPress, etc is a plus
• Experience with Kohana or CodeIgniter a plus
• Someone who gets excited about new projects
• You can grind out some code, but also enjoy a debate about how to do distributed locks, the best way to query those three tables, or who is worse Rebecca Black or Justin Bieber

One last requirement, which we regret to add, is that you must have current authorization to work in the USA.
